Seattle, Washington (Nov 19, 2013) Save the City Records is proud to announce the signing of a new electronic dance music (EDM) group, The Unparel. The band is made up of producers "Madik" and "Laladee", both from Albuquerque, New Mexico. David "Madik" Lucero owns the largest recording studio in Albuquerque, is an accomplished engineer/producer, and is a former member of the Christian rap group The Alumni. Laladee has been known as a top DJ in the Southwest Rave circuit for years, but then came to know Christ. Both members of the group have combined their faith-based lyrics with their expertise of crowd-pumping beats and producing talent, to create a new sound that can speak into our cities today. With their introduction, they are releasing their first-ever single titled "Tainted Crown" and it is now available on digital outlets worldwide. The song is about putting aside our selfish human nature and looking to God to guide us.
Save the City Records is committed to bringing state of the art music to the Christian music marketplace. With EDM music garnering some of the biggest crowds at music festivals around the world, entering this genre is necessary to reach our culture today. "We want to be at the leading edge of what's happening in music, coupling it with the timeless Gospel message, and bringing it to the world. The Unparel has astounding talent and we think their sound will resonate with our generation and into the future," said Derek Hoiem, CEO of Save the City Records.
The launch of The Unparel is a collaboration between Save the City Records and Prolegend Records, the label of David "Madik" Lucero, which is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The two companies will be partnering on the launch of more artists and efforts in the future.
